Introduction
A frozen vegetable recall is underway after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) confirmed that certain Endico brand frozen peas & carrots and mixed vegetables may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. This bacteria can cause serious illness, especially in vulnerable groups.

The recall includes:
- Endico brand Peas & Carrots (2.5 lb bags), Lot #110625 (Prod date: June 11, 2025; Use-by: June 10, 2027).

Distribution
These frozen vegetable products were distributed between July 18 and August 4, 2025, to stores across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Florida.
Why the Recall Happened
Pennsylvania state testing detected Listeria on finished products, prompting Endico Potatoes Inc. to halt distribution and issue a voluntary frozen vegetable recall in coordination with the FDA.
Health Risks
Listeria monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, a serious infection that may result in fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. It poses elevated risk for pregnant individuals, young children, older adults, and those with weak immune systems. In pregnant people, it can even lead to miscarriage or stillbirth.
